Maybe go for bi-weekly or monthly updates or something to leave more time for your actual work…?

I appreciate the videos. It’s nice to be able to see everything that’s new in action, and it’s just cool that you’re taking the time to talk about your game in this way… However, I think allowing actual development of the game to go as quickly and smoothly as possible is probably more important, and the blog posts along with every weekly build are already quite nice on their own. I never would have expected to get weekly builds and updates on what’s going on behind the scenes, especially given that you’re just one person trying to make this all happen.

Perhaps you could keep doing videos, but less frequently as more of a general overview of your recent progress and future plans. That way you wouldn’t be tied down to any particular schedule and could instead come out only where they make sense. Or, you could just drop them all together. I think most people would be plenty happy just to be able to try new builds out.
