I never really found out what purpose if any there is to the Chrono Gears.

Looking forward to the new update. Best $20 I have ever spent.

Higher levels only make them have more health and weigh more. And yes, chrono gears affect other chrono gears. I’ve seen a ship made of chrono gears – my computer cried.

Thanks!

@Thomas Check out the Captain Forever wiki, it is becoming quite the database for stuff like this: http://captainforever.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page
I would know, I made it :)

<3 Nic (Farbs said I could use it)

I did design the ship from the start to easily have it installed however. haha the clones bit is tricky, however I’m sure you will have something up your sleeve to give us a run for our money. :)

As far as “thoughts that sounded cool” while designing a ship of this size, I thought of a few useful modules ideas. Turrets! like a sprinkler module, but they will target a selected module. nothing fancy, but permits more complex / larger ships. maybe not that practical but it would have been useful for me heh.

Another idea, a modified chrono gear like module, A reactor module that works like a cross between chrono gear and a burst engine. it temporarily overloads connected modules till its power is exhausted and needs to cool down. it would obvious make guns more shooty, engines more thrusty, shields more shieldy.

@Liam: Trading sounds cool I mean we do see stations and people pawning ‘as-new modules’, However I think the storage bay idea is wonky, I feel that you should have to intergrate your spoils of war and drag them along like we see the AI doing it in Successor. However as Farbs has said its not in the current future for Imposter however.

Trading doesn’t really fit with the direction I’m taking with Impostor though so I’ll have to wait ’till later.

@Joshua: That ship is incredible! I’ll be sure to remove clones from future games :P

“Although this could be a little stupid, it could also make it fun, so if Farbs wants to try it out and see if it’s cool, then that’d be nice:

Make it so there are two stances: friendly and hostile. In friendly stance, you can go up to other friendly-stanced ships and do trade. Probably with an in-game barter economy since an in game currency could cause problems. So a new module called a Storage Bay should be created to store other modules and then you can go in friendly stance and go by other ships that’re also in friendly stance and you can trade with them. The modules put in the Storage Bays would be obtained through violent means.

I don’t know if I’m really making that much sense, or if it’d even be a really good idea when it boils down to it, but it’s just something to think about.”
