I didn’t put this station here. This station put itself here. I shut the game down and started again, and it was still here.

For the technically inclined: I added a seeded pseudo random number generator to the project, since the standard flash random function isn’t seeded. This allows me to randomly generate a world, then later generate the same world just by feeding the random functions the same seed value. I can also generate a completely different world by starting from a different seed value. This has some pretty cool potential.

Interesting idea, but you’re going to have to add reasons for the player to play in the same world over and over again. The other CF eps were fun because they almost borderlines on the rougelike genera. I think making the game sandbox freeroam will work, but like I said, you have to compel me to play in the same world again.

    Awesome!

Will these stations be used as trade-depots? Mission work-boards? Can’t wait to see more.

i would be interested if you could actually have a positive interaction with ships/ stations. like simple component trade or maybe command module repair. knowing where these locations are may be enough to revisit the same world

this could even be supplemented by generating a unique id for every ship/station/etc and saving to file only those which have changed, using the unique id as a look up, and replacing/altering on load
