SECRET GAME PROJECT

Last week 2K Australia put on a wonderful sendoff. They hired arcade machines, filled a slushie machine with vodka, and allowed me to hide instead of giving a speech. Nothing could be finer. Now I spend my days at home, merrily coding the kinds of projects that used to be my hobby. It’s exactly how I imagined retirement, minus the smell. I can’t believe I’m being paid for this!

Oh wait. Payment. Damn. I guess I’ll have to finish something.

I say, friend, how much would you pay for a game so fine as this (see screenshot)?

I can’t specify any prices until I see its gameplay. But looks retro and intriguing at the same time.

And is that a heart shape I see?

  2. compositeredfox says:

I’d pay millions for that original of a star trek hud. Oh, wait.
Well, seriously, lately I think 5 bucks is good for a small nice game, 10 bucks for a medium-sized nice game / small grate game, 15-20 for a medium great game and anything else for an incredibly amazing game.

  3. admin says:

@C.G. – Yes, that is a heart. A Pure Heart in fact. That’s your full clue allotment for the day.

@compositeredfox – How much for an incredibly small game?

  4. La Paz says:

I bid $2.50 – more if you make the spiky bits on each wing the same size. I do not hold with assymetry.

  5. admin says:

Haha, thankyou La Paz. The spiky bits are thruster exhaust, so they rapidly flicker in size. It looks much better in motion. Also I suspect you’ve confused the prow of the ship with its stern. I ought to do something about that.

  6. Andrew says:

Wait, that’s a ship? Since when? I honestly would pay up to 10$ for something like this if you didn’t screw up the release (ala lots of DRM or some nonsense). If it was released to steam with a neat demo, I may shell out 15$. Oh, who am I kidding? I would pretty much pay anything to play a game by you farbs, but I would be happier if it was around 10$. I tell you, the day the pre-order is out I’ll be first in line.

  7. Umu says:

Ah, nice to see you’re started. I’ve been watching this page waiting for something special, and it looks like it’s gonna happen. I think your fans need to get real…$45 – 50 for your little specialities!

  8. Farbs says:

Hey that’s a great idea! Thanks anonymous stranger / mum.

  9. Jay says:

I’ve seen this working. I want to see it finished!

  10. Farbs says:

Me too! I was originally planning to finish it this week, but might not be done ’till some time next. Then (hopefully) there’ll be some business type fernangeling before it’s publicly available.

  11. mpain says:

Hi there. The screenshot looks really slick. I’d pay 5 – 10$ if there’s the right payment method.
I guess that’s the biggest problem so far. There are alot of ppl that don’t have creditcards but would be willing to pay. If buying it is easy enough, price doesn’t matter for me.

Greets, keep up the good work. Looking forward for another FARBS-Production ;)
